Travel Timeouts: Ramsey Cascades

Waterfalls in the Smoky Mountains

Considered by some to be the most popular waterfall in the national park, Ramsey Cascades is also the tallest, reaching 100-ft tall. The trail to reach the waterfall, Ramsey Cascades Trail is an 8-mile  round trip hike, considered an intense hike, so it’s not opportune for young children or disabled individuals. It is a very rewarding hike, and the falls themselves are quite something to behold. Spring is an excellent time to visit, when the falls are at their most impressive.
